Become an Ambassador

Women for Women International Ambassadors are passionate individuals who are committed to supporting women survivors of war by working locally throughout the year to raise funds and awareness for WfWI’s programs and the countries in which we work.

Ambassador Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Commit to a one-year Ambassador term
  • Hold two fundraising events per year (one of which can be online/virtual)
  • Perform local awareness-building activities that bring at least 20 new supporters to the organization per year
  • Liaise with local media as relevant
  • Respond to alerts from WfWI by informing local networks and/or mobilizing them to action (i.e. in response to breaking news in one of our countries, major campaigns like Join Me on the Bridge, or major upcoming media appearances)
  • Respond to emails from other local supporters who want to connect and work together to make a difference
  • Expected to have a solid knowledge of WfWI program and be able to represent the organization positively

What to Expect From Us:

  • Welcome/Introduction call with us
  • Invitations to attend periodic conference calls with WfWI to stay informed about our work and latest news
  • Access to online toolkits and Ambassadors-only resources
  • Recognition on our Ambassador map so that others in your area can connect with you to get involved
  • Our deepest gratitude on behalf of the women we serve!
