Project Independence and Afghanistan: Women for Women International, with Soroptimist International support, will establish a chapter office in Kabul, Afghanistan providing direct aid, skills training, leadership development and microenterprise to Afghan women. Funds from Project Independence will also be used to expand programs from Kabul City to more rural areas, including villages in Wardak and Parwan provinces where few organizations are working specifically with women.
