Patty
DeDominic is the Founder, CEO and Chairman of the PDQ Careers
Group of Companies (www.pdqcareers.com). PDQ is one of Los Angeles's
largest privately held staffing services, which has several divisions
that specialize in recruiting and consulting in Aerospace, Finance,
Educational, Medical and Information Technology industries.
She is in the process of launching two new divisions
of her national staffing firm: www.forestjobs.com and www.junglejobs.com,
which focus on recruitment and placement of professionals who
care passionately about the environment and the animals who live
there.
PDQ has a long history of innovative project management
and was granted a SECRET Clearance by the US Dept. of Defense
in 2002. DeDominic is the immediate past Chairman of the Board
of the LA Area Chamber of Commerce. She is also President Emeritus
of the National Association of Women Business Owners (L.A.) and
served as Commissioner of the America's for the World Association
of Women Chiefs. (FCEM)
The United States Congress, Governors, trade associations
and her peers have awarded DeDominic and her firms special recognition
for over twenty years. First as an advocate for businesses and
as one of "America's Finest Employers." The Company
was a nominee for the Perkins Dole Award and received special
recognition in the glass ceiling report by the US Dept. of Labor.
DeDominic is also a member of the board of directors
of the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation, the Southern California
Foster Family and Adoption Agency, the women's leadership board
at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She
serves as an advisor to Texas Tech University, a mentor to the
Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine and a board member
of SCORE a resource to America's Entrepreneurs.
PDQ' & CT's clients include the University of
Southern California, The Automobile Clubs, Children's Hospital,
local and state governments and the Aerospace Corporation, Boeing
and the country of Japan.
DeDominic and PDQ are the recipients of the Bank
One/Working Woman National Customer Service Award, which was awarded
after the evaluation of over 1400 nominees.
Joan Cromer ED. D, President
of Soroptimist International
Joan
Cromer of Gering, Nebraska, is President of Soroptimist International.
She is a member of Soroptimist International of the Americas.
Cromer, a member of Soroptimist International of
Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska, has served Soroptimist in various
capacities since joining in 1974, including Soroptimist International
board member, Soroptimist International of the Americas president
and director; Rocky Mountain Region Governor, Secretary and Treasurer;
and Club President, Vice-President and Secretary. In addition,
Cromer has served on various committees at the local, regional
and international levels.
A self-employed social welfare consultant, Cromer
served as executive director for a health and human service agency
for 35 years. She has a doctor of education designation in child
and youth studies from Nova Southeast University in Ft. Lauderdale,
Florida. Cromer also earned a Master's Degree in social work from
the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and Bachelor of Science degree
in home economics from Colorado Sate University in Fort Collins.
Cromer is an active volunteer with the Scotts Bluff-based
Afghanistan Partnership Group, which mentors teachers in a sister
city in Afghanistan. She is currently a member of the Panhandle
Community Services Foundation and the Panhandle Business and Professional
Women association.
Zainab Salbi, President and
Founder of Women for Women International
Zainab
Salbi is the founder and president of Women for Women International,
a
non-profit that provides women survivors of war, civil strife
and other conflicts with tools and resources to move from crisis
and poverty into self-sufficient and active citizens who promote
and protect peace and stability. While starting her work in Croatia
and Bosnia, Zainab soon expanded the organization's effort to
Rwanda, Kosovo, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan and
Colombia. Women for Women International managed to send nine million
dollars in aid and loans to women beneficiaries.
In 1995, President Clinton honored the organization
for its accomplishments in Bosnia. Salbi has written and spoken
extensively on the role of women in war and post-conflict situations;
her work has been featured in both television and print. She holds
a BA in Sociology and Women's Studies from George Mason University
and a Masters Degree in Economics and Development Studies from
the London School of Economics.
Marilyn Barrett, Tax and

Marilyn Barrett received her B.S. with highest distinction
from the University of Kansas in 1973 and her J.D. from UCLA in
1977 where she was an Associate Editor of the UCLA Law Review.
She has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1978 and is a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
She is a former Chair of the Taxation Sections of the State Bar
of California and of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She
is also a Contributing Editor of Federal Taxation for the CEB
California Business Law Reporter. She is admitted to practice
in the District of Columbia and California. She frequently writes
and lectures on tax law.
