Barbara Perlmutter is a member of the Board of Directors at Women for Women International where she serves as a member of the Governance Committee and Revenue and Advancement Committee.

Ms. Perlmutter retired after almost 30 years as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc., a global professional services firm. As its chief communications officer, Ms. Perlmutter was responsible for the development and management of Marsh & McLennan’s internal and external communications, media and public relations, advertising and corporate philanthropy.

Ms. Perlmutter serves on the board of Women In Need, the board of governors of the American Jewish Committee and is a member of the Harvard NeuroDiscovery Council. Ms. Perlmutter is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and its Advisory Board on Women in Foreign Policy. She serves on the Board of Overseers of Brandeis University’s International Business School. She is also the past chair and a member of Brandeis University’s Women and Gender Studies Program. She is a graduate of Smith College, earned her master’s degree in history from Columbia University, and received an MBA with distinction from New York University’s Stern Graduate School of Business.
