Rally for Women's Rights
Join us on Giving Tuesday, November 29th, for a Virtual Rally for Women’s Rights
Why do you support women’s rights? Have you thought about why it is important to you?
At Women for Women International (WfWI), we support women’s rights because we believe that strong women build strong nations.
A core aspect of our proven year-long program is educating women about their rights. That’s why we added the gift of Rights Awareness Training to this year’s NEW Gifts that Give Back catalog. You see, when you give a gift like Rights Awareness Training you give a woman the chance to learn – likely for the very first time – what laws are in place to protect her, her children, and her property. She is told about the dangers of domestic violence, early marriage, and sexual harassment, and about the advantages that come with education and economic opportunity.
Rally then Donate
This Giving Tuesday, November 29th, you can join us in standing up for women’s rights when you participate in our Virtual Women’s Rights Rally – but remember to buy the gift of Rights Awareness Training from our Gifts that Give Back Catalog so that more women have the opportunity to learn about their rights. Our goal is to give 500 women the gift of Rights Awareness Training by the end of the day on Giving Tuesday.
To participate in the virtual rally, take a selfie holding a sign that answers this question: “I support women’s rights because…”
Then post the image on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook using #WfWIGivingTuesday and tagging @womenforwomen from now until November 29th. Be creative! We will be selecting some of the best selfies to be featured in our new video, set to premiere on social media on Giving Tuesday – so post early and often!
Participate in 3 easy steps:
1. Answer the Call: Take a selfie holding a sign that says “I support women’s rights because…” (adding in your reason for supporting women’s rights). Click here to print a sign.
2. Tell the World: Share your photo with your friends and family on social media, using #WfWIGivingTuesday and @womenforwomen IMPORTANT: make sure your post is public so we can see!
We hope to see hundreds of you join with us to support women’s rights and help women living in conflict-affected communities to build stronger lives and societies. We’re counting on you.
