Organize an Event

The most wonderful thing about the Join me on the Bridge campaign on International Women’s Day 2010 was how many Women for Women International supporters organised their own bridge event. A group of girls in the Hindu Kush, north eastern Afghanistan, stood on a bridge beside their school, and women from as far afield as Panama, Sydney, Ontario and Brussels stood alongside women in war-torn countries and in towns all across the US and UK.

It is really very easy to organise a bridge event! You decide which bridge you’d like to stand on, invite your friends and other people you think will be interested, organise permits where required, and take pictures to show the rest of the world what you did. Here's pictures from 2010.
