In each country that we work in, we provide women survivors of war, civil strife, and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies. These videos share the stories of tragedy to triumph, like Sadije, who survived horrible atrocities during Serbian Army attacks on her and her family. Sadije is now a leader in her community and takes women from her program on a trip to see the Kosovan countryside - a first for many of the women. The stories you see and hear are proof that one woman can change anything... many women can change everything.

For her achievements in her business and in speaking out against rape in Congo, Honorata also received a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Scholarship. Ambassador to the US from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Her Excellency Dr. Faida Mitufi also spoke about her childhood relationship with Honorata and her profound respect for the work she is doing.
