In each country that we work in, we provide women survivors of war, civil strife, and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies. Sadije is now a leader in her community and takes women from her program on a trip to see the Kosovan countryside - a first for many of the women. For her achievements in her business and in speaking out against rape in Congo, Honorata also received a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Scholarship. Ambassador to the US from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Her Excellency Dr. Faida Mitufi also spoke about her childhood relationship with Honorata and her profound respect for the work she is doing. Zainab Salbi, CEO of Women for Women International and US Executive Director, Rania Atalla also speak eloquently of the power of investing in women and other luminaries like Jane Fonda were in attendance.
