Local Arts Groups Gather to Support Women for Women International

WHO: The local arts community of Orlando, Florida. Various local performers, dancers and musicians are collaborating for an evening of entertainment plus open drum circle to follow.

WHAT: Drum N' Dance Night. A night of artistic performances including dancing, percussion, and theater. Performers include: A MAGI Company, ZeNubia, GypsiKelts, Drum ‘n Dance Clan, and SHREDD! Percussion Ensemble.

A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit Women for Women International, a non-profit dedicated to helping women in post-conflict areas. Women for Women International provides women survivors of war, civil strife, and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty into a civil society that promotes and protects peace, stability, and self-sufficiency. The organization works in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Colombia, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda and will be opening an office in Iraq this summer.
