Project Independence and Rwanda: Women for Women International , with Soroptimist International support, will set up a fully-operational chapter office in Kigali, Rwanda reaching Rwandan genocide survivors. Prior to partnering with Soroptimist International, Women for Women International was only able to offer limited services to Rwandan women through a local non-governmental organization. Project Independence funds will allow the office to expand to offer our full-range of programs that provide direct aid, skills training, leadership development and microenterprise to Rwandese women survivors.
