Dear Sponsor,

I am thrilled that you have chosen to sponsor a woman survivor of war through Women for Women International. Your decision will forever change your sister's life for the better - and, I believe, yours as well.

Over the next year, thanks to you, your sister will undergo a transformation that will allow her to regain control over her life, earn a living, and begin to heal from the emotional and physical wounds that war has inflicted on her and her family.

You are the reason for this transformation. Your sister was only able to enter the Women for Women International program because you reached out to her. The two of you are embarking on a journey together that transcends international borders and cultures. In this section of our website, you'll find a brief roadmap of your journey.

For many of our Sponsors, the ability to correspond with their sister is one of the most heartwarming benefits of the experience. The best way to encourage your sister to write to you is to begin that correspondence. I guarantee that she will treasure any cards, letters, or photos that you are able to send to her.

Some people find it faster and easier to send letters through our Online Login Area - your sister's information will be automatically filled in for you. You can attach photos, write captions, and even save draft letters to come back to. Get started here!

Though sisters are invested in communicating with their Sponsors, the fact is, sometimes they are unable to write back. Their life situation may be too difficult or they may not be literate. We will encourage your sister, in whatever way possible, to let you know how your Sponsorship is affecting her life. Once again, I am profoundly grateful for your partnership in the journey that we are taking to help women survivors of war reclaim their lives. Your compassion and commitment mean the world to all of us.

Gratefully,
Zainab Salbi
