Antoinette Uwimana serves as the Country Director for Women for Women International – Rwanda, where she manages programs that have served more than 78,500 women since 1997.
Ms. Uwimana has over 23 years of experience in public sector management positions and USAID-funded projects in Decentralization and Health Governance. Most recently she served at The Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV) as the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Sector Leader and Supervisor of the Joint Action Development Program. Prior to that, she led the Joint Action Development Program, which was funded by the Netherlands Embassy in collaboration with the Rwandese Association of Local Governments.
Ms. Uwimana has a Master of Public Health from the National University of Rwanda, and a Bachelor’s degree in Population Studies from Université Libre de Kigali. She also holds a graduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from Institut Supérieur Pédagogique de Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
