Madhuri Patel is a member of Women for Women International’s Global Board of Directors. She currently serves on the Finance Committee.
Madhuri Patel is the Chief Financial Officer of Mars Global Services (MGS) and the Vice President of Mars Global Services Finance. As CFO, Madhuri has management oversight and responsibility for the S&F function, and oversees all costs, expenditures and investments for MGS, the shared services division of Mars, Inc. In her role as VP and head of MGS Finance, she leads the financial shared services strategy to drive standardization, processes and controls across the MGS Finance service centers, as well as the digitalization of operations. As a finance leader at Mars, Madhuri sits on several leadership teams, including the MGS Leadership Team, the Global S&F Leadership Team, and the Global Finance Partnership.
Madhuri began her career in the assurance practice of Crowe Horwath in Chicago, helping to establish the firm’s risk services practice, delivering internal audit, risk management and corporate governance guidance to clients around the world. She began her Mars career with Wrigley in 2007 as the leader of Internal Audit for the Americas region. In that role, she developed the business case for internal audit at Mars, which was approved by the Audit Committee in 2010. In 2011, Madhuri moved to Washington, D.C. to establish the Mars Internal Audit group at the corporate headquarters in McLean, VA. Today, the Internal Audit group spans across four regions and has made significant contributions to the Governance and Controls at Mars. She was appointed to her current position in January 2017.
Madhuri is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and received her MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She and her husband Asim Mishra relocated in late 2018, and currently live in the suburbs of Chicago.
