Gaza’s health care crisis is horrifying — and getting worse

The lack of adequate clean water and safe sanitation has already led to disease outbreaks and is compounding the "already dire humanitarian situation" for women and their families in Gaza, Amani Mustafa, Country Director of WfWI Palestine, told The Hill, amid fears of a possible "catastrophic" ground invasion in Rafah.
The healthcare crisis in Gaza is unthinkably grim, even by the standards of war-ravaged regions. Infectious diseases from chickenpox to cholera are sweeping through the population; crucial medical supplies are blocked at the border, and hospitals are overrun with critically wounded patients.
