Our vision is rooted in the belief that Palestinian women have the right to live with dignity, freedom, and justice. We recognize that women enduring protracted conflict face not only the denial of individual and collective rights but also daily risks of violence, deprivation, and displacement.
We are committed to:
- Identifying safe yet essential spaces where our operations can make the greatest impact.
- Embedding local women’s rights organizations into our planning and implementation to ensure relevance, ownership, and sustainability.
- Standing alongside women in Gaza and the West Bank to heal, recover, and rebuild their lives and communities.
- Our vision is to remain present where needs are most urgent, to expand despite the challenges, and to walk the journey of resilience and hope with Palestinian women
- We standwith every Palestinian woman in her struggle for freedom, dignity, and justice.
“I realized that if I allowed myself to stay weak, life would swallow me whole. I chose to rise, to rebuild, and to lead my life with strength." -Yasmin Al Jaabari, participant in the inaugural SWSN program in the West Bank
Supporting Women to Rebuild in Hebron
Hebron H2 is one of the most militarized and legally complex areas in the West Bank. Home to 35,000 Palestinians living under Israeli military control, the area is isolated and under constant threat. For women, the situation is especially dire as they face severe restrictions on movement, harassment, limited access to food and resources, and no systems for protection or justice.
In August of 2025, we launched our core Stronger Women, Stronger Nations (SWSN) program in Hebron H2 area, where we’ve adapted it for life in an active war zone by localizing the curriculum, partnering with trusted community organizations, and onboarding 22 local facilitators to enroll our first cohort of 350 women. We established three training centers (Sharek Youth Centre, Baytuna Centre and the Palestine Red Crescent Society to host 14 women’s groups for a 12-month period, culminating their journey with a graduation ceremony. Each year, we aim to enroll 600 new women from the most marginalized communities, providing them with opportunities for solidarity, empowerment, and personal growth through the SWSN program.
Through the program, participants receive:
- Rights Awareness & Advocacy Training: knowledge of legal rights, inheritance laws, and protections under both Palestinian and international law
- Health & Wellness Education: psychosocial care, reproductive health education, and mental health coping strategies
- Vocational & Business Skills Training: hands-on training in areas such as food production, handicrafts, and small business development tailored to local markets
- Cash Assistance & Savings Groups: to help women regain financial independence and build safety nets
- Peacebuilding Tools: Training women to identify and address sources of tension in their communities and participate in local decision-making and mediation
“Launching Stronger Women, Stronger Nations in Hebron isn’t just transformative—it’s necessary.”
Responding to the Crisis in Gaza
In partnership with Wefaq Society for Women and Child Care, the Center for Women’s Legal Research and the Palestinian Development Women Studies Association (PDWSA), we’re responding to the urgent needs of vulnerable women and girls in Gaza, providing:
- Emergency cash
- Warm food from community kitchens
- Shelter, clothing, hygiene kits
- Baby formula and diapers
- Mental health and psychosocial support
“This box was truly a blessing from God. My baby finally had enough milk and slept for four continuous hours. He hasn’t slept like that in a month.” - Mother in Gaza who received formula
In Gaza, we are prioritizing women who are survivors of war and gender-based violence, women -headed households whose marginalization and oppression have intensified during the two-year war on Gaza, and those who care for multiple dependents, including elderly and individuals with disabilities.
We thank all of our Palestinian partners, including the Shuafat Camp Women’s Center, Askar Camp Women’s Center, the Women’s Activity Association, the Jerusalem Center for Women, Sawa Organization, and the Family Defense Society.
