
Country Director, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Dong Tshisekedi Vianney is the Country Director of Women for Women International in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). She firmly believes that her country's development depends also on female leadership. A teacher, linguist, and policy analyst, she has extensive expertise and experience in leadership, governance, advocacy, child protection, and women's empowerment.
Throughout her career, Vianney has provided strategic and technical support in Advocacy and External Relations to 9 of the 14 SADC member countries namely South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, DR Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho and Angola as a Senior Regional Adviser in charge of Advocacy and Women's Empowerment. She has collaborated with various regional and global structures namely the Southern African Development Community (SADC), African Union - AU and the European Union and the United Nations) in the promotion and role of women, girls and youth in society.
Vianney led the implementation of a ground-breaking program called, ‘Citizen Voices and Actions’ in the DRC which helps Congolese people engage their local government in a process aimed at restoring accountability to public funding and rebuilding trust in government-civil society relations.
She is committed to working toward the well-being of women and girls in the DRC.
