Will you use your #PowerToChange?

Women have the power to change societal rules, gender discrimination and unspoken beliefs that hold them back – we see it happen all the time. In the face of inequality and conflict, marginalized women in our programs rise up and take control of their lives.

This International Women’s Day (on March 8th) – and throughout March in honor of Women’s History Month – join us by using your #PowerToChange.

We All Have The #PowerToChange

WHEN WE USE OUR POWER TOGETHER, WE CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING

Over the last thirty years we have witnessed the incredible power of women every day. In the face of inequality and conflict, the women survivors of war we work with rise up and transform not only their own lives but their whole communities.

They have the #PowerToChange, and so do you! The power to make a small but mighty difference lies within all of us. Invest in your own power, invest in women’s power, and together we can change the world.

Thirty years after Women for Women International’s inception, we have grown from one woman who started the organization to serving over half a million women survivors of war around the globe.

Join us this Women's History Month and International Women's Day (8th March) and use your power to create change for women everywhere.

Celebrating 30 Years

Three decades ago, one woman turned a moment of outrage into a movement. Today that movement has turned into a global community supporting over half a million women survivors of war and conflict around the world.

Celebrating International Women's Day: Through Dada's Eyes

On March 7th , we are hosting a special screening of Through Dada’s Eyes, a virtual reality film which follows a mother-of-two’s journey to rebuilding her life through our Stronger Women, Stronger Nations Program in Nigeria after escaping the insurgency of Boko Haram.

The event will be hosted by Nisha Singh, our Global Policy and Advocacy Manager. The screening will be followed by a powerful conversation with award-winning Nigerian actress and activist Stella Damasus and our CEO, Laurie Adams. Stella is one of Africa's most famous film actresses and celebrities, and has been a strong voice for the education of women, and consistently fights against underage marriages and injustice against women and young girls.
